Its been a rough couple of weeks

I'm sorry I've been gone for so long but I injured my knee about a month and I wasn't able to do HCG because of all of the medication that I was on.  I'm hoping to be back on track tomorrow but we will see what the doctor says.  Hope everyone is doing well.

Squirrels! I'm officially putting them on a diet

A couple of weeks ago, I filled up two birdfeeders with seed to hopefully attract some pretty birds. Shortly after, I started noticing that the seed was going down so I thought that I had birds. Well I was wrong! I have squirrels, lots of fat squirrels eating all of the birdseed right out of the feeders. Well, I googled a way to get rid of them and one of the things that came up was to put vaseline on the shepherds hook. I've decided to give that a try, and when I get home I'm officially putting the squirrels on a diet!!

Exercise in 2009

I noticed on yahoo today, one of the most searched celebrities was Jillian Michaels. When I think of exercise and fitness celebrities, she is definitely one of the ones that I think of. She has numerous fitness dvd's and is also a spokesman for an incline machine that is made by Nordictrack. According to Jillian, an incline workout can burn 3-5 times the amount of calories than walking on level ground. That is encouraging to me, to think that I could burn that many more calories with simply by raising the incline by 25%.

One of the other well known fitness celebrities that I think about is Tony Little who sells the Gazelle. That is probably my favorite machine because of the low impact workout. I have a Gazelle Edge and I love it. It is so easy to use and the workout doesn't really feel like much of a workout until you are done and then you can feel it in your muscles.

Since my goal for 2009 is to finally get into shape I will be working out on a variety of exercise equipment including treadmills, bikes, rowers, and steppers as well as using multi-gyms and weights. With a mix of cardio and strength training, I am sure to see results. North Shore Health & Fitness offers a variety of equipment with easy payment options including Rent with the Option to Buy and Buy with the Option to Exchange.

What diet will you be doing in 2009?

Will you be dieting in 2009? I am currently on the search for a weight loss plan that will enable to lose my excess weight in a reasonable amount of time and will allow me to do it easily and inexpensively. There has to be something out there for me but there are so many different diets out there, that it gets a little overwhelming after a while. With the low carb diets such as Atkins, Carbohydrate Addicts and South Beach, just the low car option becomes confusing. Then you take the low calorie diet plans such as Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig and that only adds to the confusion. The fad diets, such as the 3 day diet and the Soup Diet, are just that although I have had luck with the 3 day diet in the past. The bad part is that once you take it off, it usually comes back easier than it went off.

I am obviously a big fan of Biggest Loser and I really feel that this might be the best option for me. Not only do they focus on low calorie and low fat, but they do try to restrict bad carbs which for me is the best choice. I have discovered that when I eat bad carbs, I hold excess water and I have some of the symptoms of diabetes.

What about you? What diets are you trying and what successes are you having? I am one that likes to read reviews on diets before trying them and use those reviews to weed out the ones with best potential. If you like to read reviews as well, DietsIn Review.com has over 600 diet that have been reviewed by users.

Professional Answering Service for Small Business

For small companies, an Answering Service may be a less expensive option to hiring office personnel. If your office is simply receiving phone calls and not personal visits from clients, then you may want to look into this as an effective alternative.

Since 1991, MAP Communications has been the industry leader for providing quality Answering Services and enhanced call center solutions. If you customers expect a high level of personalization as well as a a clear presentation of the facts, then MAP Communications may be the choice for you.

I am in the process of starting my own business, and I was a little worried about being seen as a one-woman show and that may prohibit me from getting some of those big contracts that I will need to survive. One of the alternatives that I am considering is an Answering Service because it is so much more personal than all calls going to a voice mail or cell phone. My competition has offices full of personnel and with me just starting out, I will not be able to afford that for quite some time. However, if I can just a couple of contracts under my belt I may be able to afford an answering service to offer my customers a more personal touch.
