Its been a rough couple of weeks

I'm sorry I've been gone for so long but I injured my knee about a month and I wasn't able to do HCG because of all of the medication that I was on.  I'm hoping to be back on track tomorrow but we will see what the doctor says.  Hope everyone is doing well.

HCG Diet Info Group

If you are here and you like what you see, feel free to join me over HCG Diet Info Forums. I started a group there, so I look forward to making new friends and helping each other through our journeys.

Low Carb and HCG Stuffed Peppers

This recipe is a great Low Carb Recipe and is also a good recipe for HCG P3.

Cauliflower rice - shred or chop cauliflower in food processor into rice like slivers. Put in microwave safe dish with lid for approx 4 min. Do NOT add water or anything else.

Ground beef (I use sirloin)
Spices (I used garlic powder, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, pepper)
Tomato sauce (sugar free)
Tomato paste (sugar free)
Bell pepper- chopped
Onion-chopped
Whole bell peppers, cleaned
Cheese

Brown ground meat with spices, onion and bell peppers
Add tomato sauce and paste (I used 2/1 cans and added a little water)
Add "rice"
Put mixture into peppers *If pushed for time, just sliced the peppers and line the bottom of the pan then put the mixture on top.
Top with cheese
Bake at 350 until peppers are done and cheese is melted *approximately 20 min.

My menu items for the week

This week has been pretty good as far as my weight and inch loss. I am down another 2 pounds since Monday and still feeling good. I have tried to walk a couple times this week, but with the weather(it's been over 90) and my schedule, it's been a little difficult.

My menu items for this week have consisted of the following:

93% Fat Free Ground Beef
Shrimp Cocktail-(I use a tiny little bit of cocktail sauce even though I know it has a little sugar in it. It's less than a teaspoon that I use.)
Petite Sirloin-Fat trimmed off
Gortons Grilled Tilapia
KFC Grilled Chicken

My veggies for the week were green beans, spinach, and mushrooms.
My fruit for the week was apples and strawberries.

All in all a very good week, and I'm looking forward to continuing my loss over the weekend. Hopefully I will get a chance to walk a little more.

Week 2 and Down 15lbs

I cannot believe how easy this has been to lose these first 15 pounds. My cravings are gone, I am drinking more water than I ever have in my life and my friends are commenting about my weight loss. While 15lbs may not seem like a lot to you, to me it is great because I have been struggling with losing this weight for about 5 years now. The HCG diet is very extreme and is a last resort option for me. However, with that said I can really feel it working. I have friends that have tried this diet and it worked for them so after hearing Dr. Oz give his blessing, I decided to give it a try. I couldn't be happier. A couple of things that are making it easier for me are my 2pm Hot Tea and Fruit breaks, meal preparation the night before work, and meal preparation in advance of events where I think there may be food that I cannot eat. I take a cooler to have in the car if there is any question. For me, preparation has been the key to making this work.

KFC on HCG diet?

Who knew that KFC could be so healthy? For $5, you can get two pieces of KFC grilled chicken and a side of green beans. You also get a soda but since I don't drink soda, I sweet talked them into an extra side of green beans that I will save for a later meal. This entire plate of food is only 260 calories, so if you are wise with your dinner choices YES you can have KFC on the HCG diet. I have done this a couple of times lately because I have a very busy schedule and it is great for a meal on the run. So enjoy!!

Trying the HCG Diet

Last Monday, I started the HCG diet after reading a lot about it on the internet, talking to friends who have done it, and then seeing it on the Dr. Oz show. I know it's a somewhat controversial diet, but for me the benefits greatly outweigh the negatives. In the last week, I have lost 12 pounds and my motivation is soaring. I am drinking far more water than I ever have in my life, eating all natural foods(with the exception of the grissini breadsticks), and generally paying more attention to my body than I ever have. I will keep you updated on my progress as I go along.
